The city of Robbinsdale is a smaller suburb conveniently located approximately 9 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis. Robbinsdale maintains a small town atmosphere even though it is home to approximately 14,150 residents. The city is bordered by Golden Valley and Crystal to the west, Brooklyn Center and Crystal to the north, Minneapolis to the east and Golden Valley to the south.

Robbinsdale is nearly all residential with minimal commercial and industrial uses. Bottineau Boulevard is the main commercial and shopping area in Robbinsdale. The annual celebration include a 5K race, carnival, sidewalk sales, live music and a parade.
