Lynnhurst is nearly all residential and there are five neighborhood commercial areas, primarily on the neighborhood’s borders that offer residents access to an abundance of delightful retail, entertainment, fine dining and independently owned businesses so that residents literally do not have to venture out of their neighborhood. These areas include the intersections of 50th Street & Penn Avenue, 46th Street & Bryant Avenue, 50th Street & Bryant Avenue, 54th Street & Penn Avenue and 54th Street and Lyndale Avenue. Burroughs Community School, which is located next to the picturesque Minnehaha Creek on 50th Street and just blocks away from Lake Harriet, is one of the top elementary schools in Minneapolis.
